“Michael has made no less than 8 custom pieces for my home. All exterior. All perfect. I am not an easy mark. I like to over-engineer things and use the best materials. I was not interested in finding any old Bob with a pickup truck. I wanted one-off designs that you would not see if you drove through 100 neighborhoods and I wanted designs that as you got closer you would notice more and more detail and flawless joinery. Michael’s attention to fine lines, fine cuts, his eye for detail at such a young age was nothing short of impressive to me. Highly creative, very proud of every cut he made, I could tell he loved his work just based on the way he laid out his tools and supplies on the first day we met.
I have since had two other major trades through my house since Michael was last in and a carpenter actually came back to my house, brought his wife, and asked if he could take pictures and get a closer look at two pieces in particular that Michael did. Randomly, I had a person knock on my door and ask if they could take some pictures of some of the work Michael did.
If you are looking for a carpenter true to the trade and is not so concerned about running volume through his business but instead making incredible pieces that he can stand by, then I would call Michael. It has been a few years since Michael has done some of the larger pieces for me and I still take a level to the posts and beams to show off to guests how true his joinery and cuts were when people comment on them.”

“While repairing a gap in our porch siding, Michael discovered a rotted beam that was holding up two storeys of sun porches and the roof of our duplex. Needless to say, we were upset at this unexpected major repair. Michael presented us with a step-by-step process and cost breakdown for this kind of project. We agreed to proceed with the work. He did all of the work, as well as arranged for the appropriate permits, engineered drawings, and final approvals upon work completion.
